The 49er Series pays tribute to an original 1868 "Hot Blast" oil lantern that was used by miners, ranchers and farmers of the old west. Every Sutter's Mill Lantern is handmade at in their factory in Orange, CA and every lantern is UL approved for one 60 watt incandescent lamp.

As you approach your front door, there hanging to the right is this wonderful hanging lantern. A recreation of history glowing in the night. So perfectly reproduced from an original lantern, you would think it was a real flame creating the glow from the clear chimney glass. From our 49er Series, this hanging lantern is 100% handmade at our factory in Orange, CA and is designed to mount directly to a standard electrical box. It’s UL approved and wired for an old fashioned 60 watt incandescent lamp. You can also use the newest LED and compact fluorescent lamps.
